Primary jaw
crushers
Robust and designed for primary crushing, our MR range jaw crushers crush the hardest materials by compression — from 20 to 800 t/h, for aggregate production, recycling and the mining industry.
Why choose a WEIL jaw crusher
The standard in primary crushing: robust, productive mechanics that are simple to operate, from the recycling site to the large quarry.
Versatile applications
Aggregate production, mining, recycling: one machine at the heart of every kind of primary plant.
Robust design
Built to withstand the harshest conditions, our crushers guarantee durability and long life in continuous operation.
High productivity
Designed for high throughput and efficient crushing, up to 800 t/h on the most powerful model in the range.
Controlled operating costs
Designed to minimise running costs and maximise the profitability of your plant.
Simple discharge setting
The discharge opening is adjusted (shims, screw or hydraulic cylinder) to match the particle size of the product and compensate for jaw wear.
Long-life curved jaws
The curved profile evens out throughput in the chamber, distributes wear better and extends jaw service life.

Material crushed between two jaws
A fixed jaw, a swing jaw, and a reciprocating movement that breaks the block by compression. Depending on the mechanism, two main families — and one decisive optimisation of the profile.
Single toggle
The swing jaw is connected at the top to an eccentric shaft and rests at the bottom on a toggle plate. The movement of the pivot point creates an elliptical motion that reduces sliding (and therefore wear) and increases throughput.
- Elliptical motion
- Reduced wear
- High throughput
Double toggle
Derived from the Blake machine: a pitman and a toggle drive the swing jaw without direct friction on the material. Particularly suited to the most abrasive materials.
- No direct friction
- Abrasive materials
- Very robust mechanics
Curved jaws
The curved jaw profile evens out throughput at the different levels of the chamber, distributes wear better and increases the service life of the parts.
- Even throughput
- Distributed wear
- Increased service life
Mechanics designed for operation
Particle size setting, optimised design and hydraulic assistance: three levers that make the crusher precise, durable and quick to service.
Particle size
setting
The discharge opening is adjusted by moving the toggle plate: screw mechanism, shims or hydraulic cylinder. Enough to match the finished product and compensate for jaw wear.
Optimised
design
Frame, eccentric, connecting rod and jaws are optimised by calculation and CAD. Combined with more resistant steels, they allow the machine to be operated under the most demanding conditions.
Hydraulic
assistance
Hydraulic release of the shims speeds up adjustment and reduces downtime. A sliding wedge system allows the machine to be integrated into an automated line.

Output stated at the nominal discharge opening. Throughput increases with speed, width, discharge opening and stroke; it decreases as the jaw angle increases.
Particle size distribution at discharge
Each curve corresponds to a discharge setting and gives the percentage passing by weight for a given square screen aperture. The tighter the setting, the finer the output. The aperture axis is logarithmic.
Values taken from the WEIL technical documentation. Indicative data, varying with the nature and moisture content of the feed material.
